Your Outfitter and Professional Hunter, Nico, grew up in the unfenced Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. It is here where Nico’s fundamental training and passion for conservation and hunting began. He gained a great deal of experience over the years with his Father’s ethical guidance and knowledge as a professional big game hunter. Nico has a passion for bowhunting and 25 years of experience, his attention to detail, knowledge of game, the bushveld, friendly and humoristic but professional personality will contribute to assisting clients with making difficult shots, in tight situations count.

Michelle oversees the marketing, Logistics, and Management of Zingela Limpopo Safaris & camps. She studied marketing and accounting, thereafter, was appointed as a sales representative of a family business for 10 years. She was born with a passion for animals and nature, her warm and friendly personality is contagious. She is an avid bowhunter and enjoys spending time with her husband Nico van der Merwe and children in nature, together they are the hart of Zingela Limpopo Safaris. Michelle will make sure your trip, from the initial planning to the departure date, is the most memorable experience of your life.

Dawie Vermeulen
Dawie’s passion for the outdoors was fuelled from childhood on their family farm near Vaalwater Limpopo. It is here where he spent his school holidays as a boy, fishing and hunting small game. He has been guiding professionally for the past 10 years and his patience and calm personality makes him an excellent guide in all situations.

Kevin Burch
Kevin grew up in the Limpopo bushveld and Zambian woodlands. He studied and completed his Diploma on Game Ranch Management and completed his apprentice student year with Zingela Limpopo Safaris during 2020. Kevin has been with us since 2021, assisting in managing the reserve and guiding clients. Kevin’s passion and knowledge of animals and the environment together with his love for bowhunting, makes him a very knowledgeable guide.

Servious Moyo
Servious grew up in the Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe. He completed his Chef training at in Bulawayo in 1996. After working at safari lodges in Zimbabwe he came to South Africa in 1999, where he is now residing. He is happily married with 7 children. Servious prepares the most fabulous venison dishes, adding to your truly African experience. His humble personality makes him an intricate part of the team

Frans Tau
Frans is our local Chef who grew up in the Limpopo Province. When he started working for Zingela Limpopo Safaris, his passion for food and people did not go unnoticed, he was sent for further education as a chef. Frans has been working on the reserve for more than 10 years, therefore, his family has a long relationship with us.

Joel
Joel grew up in the Limpopo province, adjacent to Zingela Limpopo Safaris. He has been working for Zingela Limpopo Safaris for over 10 years and knows the 60,000 acres like the back of his hand.He has a great sense of humor. His tracking and skinning skills are excellent and most importantly he loves and respects wildlife

Josef
Josef grew up with Nico on their family farm in North West and under Nico’s father’s guidance, he was taught and apprenticed the finer skills of tracking and skinning. Josef has a vast knowledge of the indigenousness of fauna and flora which contribute to an unforgettable hunting experience.
