Our safari camp is conveniently situated only 430km from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, translating to a comfortable 4-hour drive for our guests. For those looking for a closer option, a domestic airport is merely 200km away, a swift 2-hour drive. At Zingela, we understand the importance of your comfort and convenience. Therefore, we typically offer pickups from Johannesburg International Airport. However, guests can choose to fly to Polokwane for a shorter journey to our camp. For an exclusive experience, we also have an airstrip on the property for those preferring private charter flights directly from Johannesburg.
Our accommodation, Baobab Tented Camp, is perched on a rugged African kopje, nestled among ancient Baobab trees rich in history, echoing the presence of elephants from a century ago. The camp boasts four distinctly spaced tents, ensuring utmost privacy for our guests. Each tent is equipped with an en-suite bathroom and a private viewing deck offering breathtaking views of the untouched Limpopo Valley. We prioritize your comfort and convenience, offering daily laundry services. The camp features a semi-open lounge, perfect for relaxation, and a splash pool to refresh in the summer heat. Our braai (BBQ) area is ideal for enjoying the authentic African atmosphere.
Culinary experiences at Zingela are nothing short of extraordinary. Our meals are a celebration of African Bush Cuisine, featuring sumptuous venison, fine South African wines, and local beers. For our hunting enthusiasts, we provide convenient lunch boxes to be savored in our blinds. Evenings at the camp are magical with regular campfires and barbeques, set to the soundtrack of the nocturnal African bush. Guests can indulge in a 3-course meal including grilled venison fingers, traditional "Potjiekos" (Hot Pot), or freshly baked homemade bread.
